Blog Post #32: Curious Clouds
Did you ever have that feeling as a kid where you stopped and stared at the sky, wondering how the clouds were moving so fast? Or why the moon was following you? My friend and I were on a run-turned-walk this morning, on a gravel trail completely shaded by trees. Sunlight filtered through here and there. The rocks crunched beneath our feet, and the wind made the light-green leaves dance and shimmer in the wind. Towards the end of our journey, when we’d almost arrived back at the main road, there was a clearing in the trees where we could see the whole city. And above the city, large white clouds were moving in a sea of perfectly blue sky. If a ghost could run at a clip, that’s the speed at which these clouds were moving. We stopped and stared for a while, in awe.
Those clouds reminded me that I want to approach life with a childlike curiosity. A curiosity that pushes us to ask questions regardless of doubts over the question being “stupid”. A curiosity that helps us know and understand one another, as humans. A curiosity that makes us stand still in our tracks, watching the clouds pass by.
