Blog Post #16: Fog and More Fog
As the tabs on my computer accumulate, and life starts to feel like a whirlwind as the semester draws to a close, I will take this moment to remind myself that I’ve been here before, and I can get through it. It’s easy for the stress to build in times like these, times when every assignment seems to be due at once, when my piano music still needs to be practiced for a successful jury, and when exams are looming. The fog does clear as long as I keep moving forward, step by step, the thin soles of my shoes providing no protection against the water on the ground. The good thing about fog is that there is no sense of front or back, past or future, there is only the now, the now in which I trek forward step by step. I still find joy in the little moments, still make time during my days to stop and talk to a friend, or the geese, or the fog. So I encourage you, dear reader, to continue taking time for yourself even when life gets hectic, and to know that the fog will soon clear.
